Speech therapy software for private SLP practices

Speech therapy practice software runs a private SLP practice: recurring session scheduling, SOAP notes tied to treatment goals, superbills for out-of-network families and exports for your biller. MegAligna fits solo SLPs through multi-clinician pediatric clinics, priced per clinician seat with client records and non-clinical staff free.

Practice management software, not therapy exercise software

Two different products share this search term. Therapy-content apps put drills and articulation exercises in front of clients, and this is not one of them.

MegAligna runs the practice around the therapy: the recurring schedule, goal-linked documentation, guardian relationships and the billing. It is built for the SLP in private practice rather than for managing a school caseload.

What an SLP practice gets

  • Included

    Recurring session scheduling

Weekly and twice-weekly series per client across clinic, school and home locations, with cancellation reasons tracked — attendance is a clinical variable in pediatric speech work.

  • Included

    Goal-linked session notes

SOAP notes tied to treatment-plan goals, so progress toward each goal is traceable across sessions — the documentation shape both payers and IEP conversations reward.

  • Included

    Guardian and family structure

Consents, communication and balances belong to guardians, including split-family situations, using the same guardian model as the ABA and OT practices this system serves.

  • Included

    Biller exports

Every field a superbill or CMS-1500 needs is captured per session and exports as CSV for whoever submits your claims. Rendering either document onto its form is gated on AMA CPT licensing and not released yet.

  • Not included

    Teletherapy video

No video is embedded. Sessions schedule and bill as telehealth with the correct place of service, and the practice brings its own HIPAA-covered video platform.

Two sub-pages go deeper. SLP documentation software covers goals, session notes and the progress report that otherwise eats an evening. Speech therapy billing covers units and the biller handoff.

Common questions

Does it work for school-contract SLPs?
Partly. Sessions at school locations schedule and document normally with the correct place of service. District-contract invoicing — billing a school district as the payer rather than a family — is not built: billing here is patient- and payer-based. If district contracts are most of your revenue, invoice them outside this system for now.
Can families submit for out-of-network reimbursement?
Yes — each session can produce a superbill with CPT codes, diagnosis, provider NPI and charges, which the family submits to their plan. Whether the plan reimburses speech therapy is plan-specific.
What does a two-SLP practice actually pay?
Two clinician seats — the front desk login, guardian records and your biller's access are free. The pricing page has the current per-seat rate, published rather than quoted.

14 days, no card required. Use made-up patients while you evaluate — real patient information waits until a business associate agreement is in place.
